Spreader Bars

A spreader bar is a rigid bar with a cuff at each end that holds the wrists or ankles apart during bondage play. Our bondage spreaders include adjustable bars, leg spreaders with thigh straps, wrist-to-neck bars and double bars, in padded PU leather, lace and metal. Every order ships discreetly Australia-wide.

How do you choose a spreader bar?

Length: a 50 to 60 cm bar suits most bodies for ankle or wrist play. Adjustable bars let you change the stretch.
Cuffs: padded, adjustable cuffs are the most comfortable for beginners. Buckles hold firmly, while Velcro releases faster.
Bar: metal poles are sturdy and easy to wipe clean. Some bars come apart for storage.
Type: ankle bars open the legs, wrist bars keep the hands apart, and thigh-strap spreaders combine both.
Budget: most of our spreader bars cost about $35 to $95, with premium bolsters costing more.

How do you use a spreader bar safely?

Agree on a safe word and limits before you start.
Fit cuffs so that one or two fingers slide underneath. Check hands and feet often for numbness, tingling or cold skin.
Never leave a restrained partner alone, and keep the cuffs where you can undo them quickly.
Never fasten anything tight around the neck.
Wipe the bar and cuffs with a damp cloth after use, and let leather or PU dry naturally.
