Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Notice: Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded. Our policies apply only to situations not covered by mandatory consumer guarantees (e.g., change of mind or non-faulty items).

Returns and Refunds

Adult Product Returns Policy

Adult products (including all toys, bondage items, novelties, lubricants, oils, and sexual aids) are supplied sealed and new for hygiene and health reasons.

Refunds for Faulty Items

We stand behind the quality of our products and offer remedies in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

If your product is faulty (i.e., does not meet consumer guarantees under the ACL), please contact our customer service team within 30 days of delivery to notify us of the issue. Providing notification after this period may affect your claim, though we will assess each case on its merits in line with legal requirements.

To support your claim, we may request photos, videos, or return of the product for inspection. Common issues (especially with battery-operated items) can often be resolved quickly — please try the following troubleshooting first:

  • Use fresh, correctly inserted batteries.
  • For rechargeable items: Ensure full charge and check connections/indicator lights.
  • Hold the power button for 3-5 seconds (or multiple buttons for travel lock).

Faulty products must be returned to The Hot Spot for assessment and for manufacturer warranty claims. If the product is confirmed faulty by our quality control team (and not due to misuse, negligence, or inappropriate use), we will offer:

  • A replacement (identical or equivalent), or
  • A full refund of the purchase price (including original shipping, where applicable).

Return shipping for faulty items deemed valid by us will be at our expense. We handle manufacturer warranties where applicable (refer to product listing).

We visually inspect all products before dispatch to minimise faults.

We offer a 90-day warranty period on all adult products, in addition to any manufacturer's extended warranties.

No Change-of-Mind Policy
Due to the intimate and personal nature of our products, and in line with health, safety, and hygiene regulations to prevent the potential spread of infections, we do not accept returns, exchanges, refunds, or credits for change of mind, dissatisfaction, incorrect choice, change in preference, or any other non-faulty reason.

This includes situations where the product is unused, unopened, or not tried in a personal way. Please select your items carefully — all sales of non-faulty adult products are final.


Cancellations

Orders are processed quickly upon receipt of full payment, and we aim to ship most orders within 1 business day. Once an order is placed and paid for, cancellations are not encouraged and will only be considered in exceptional circumstances at our sole discretion.

If we approve a cancellation before the order has shipped, you will have the choice of one of the following options:

  • Option 1: Partial Refund — A 30% cancellation fee will be deducted from the product value (excluding shipping fees) to cover administrative costs, payment processing, and advertising expenses associated with the transaction. The remaining balance will be refunded to the original payment method. 

  • Option 2: Full Store Credit — Receive a store credit for the full amount of the order (including product value and any shipping fees paid). Store credit is valid for 90 days from the date of approval and can be used toward any future purchase on our website. Store credit is non-transferable, non-refundable for cash, and cannot be combined with other promotions unless specified.

You must specify your preferred option when requesting the cancellation. No cancellations will be accepted once an order has shipped. Please choose carefully before completing your purchase.

Incorrect Address or Delivery Issues

It is your responsibility to provide a complete and accurate delivery address at checkout. If an incorrect or incomplete address results in the order being returned to us (e.g., undeliverable by the courier), you will be liable for:

  • An up to 20% administration fee on the order value to cover re-processing and handling costs.
  • Any additional shipping fees for re-delivery (if requested).

We will contact you to confirm details and fees before any re-shipment. Failure to resolve may result in the order being cancelled with applicable fees deducted.

Delivery of Goods

We use reliable couriers such as Australia Post, TNT, Couriers Please, Fastway, and Startrack Express. Orders are processed upon receipt of full payment and typically shipped within 1 business day. Delivery times vary: 1-3 business days for Express Post, 2-7 business days standard, and up to 2-30 days during peak periods. If goods are damaged or lost in transit, we will liaise with the courier and may offer a replacement or refund at our discretion.

Limitation of Liability

You assume all risk for any loss or damage arising from use of this website or our products. We exclude liability for errors, third-party content, or indirect losses to the extent permitted by law.

Amendment of Terms

We may amend these terms at any time. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of changes.
