Dame Aer Suction Vibrator

Dame Aer is a small, featherlight air-pulse toy from Dame, the women-founded US brand. Instead of vibrating on the clitoris, it forms a soft seal and sends waves of air that feel closer to suction and fluttering than buzzing.

Quick facts: Dame Aer

• Materials: Silicone and ABS
• Size: About 11.8 cm long
• Settings: 5 intensities, 5 air patterns
• Power: USB rechargeable, magnetic cable
• Water: Waterproof
• In the box: Storage bag, charging cable

Who it suits

People who find direct vibration too sharp and want something that builds slowly. Reviewers single out the flexible nozzle, which stays on the spot when you move or press harder, and the light weight, which makes it easy to hold for a long session. It also pairs well with an insertable toy if you like both at once.

Who might prefer something else

There is only one nozzle size, so if you have tried suction toys before and know you need a larger or smaller opening, a model with swappable heads may fit better. Its shape also gets in the way in body-to-body positions, so for hands-free use during sex look at our couples vibrators.

Care and use

Add a little water-based lube around the nozzle to improve the seal, then start on the lowest setting. The chamber is the hardest part to clean: rinse it well and use a cotton bud with toy cleaner. Recharge before it runs flat.
